China Takes Gold in Methanol Fuel
ABSTRACT: In 2007 China surpassed Japan as the world’s second largest importer of oil behind Japan. Yet it is not sitting idly by content with increasing oil imports. According to U.S. Methanol Institute President & CEO John Lynn, “China is showing the rest of the world how clean transportation fuels can be made from coal.” Methanol is now a strategic transportation fuel in China and the rest of the world should take note.
